THE SILHOUETTE EDIT

Choose the architecture before the trend.

A haircut name is only a shortcut. Read the perimeter, layer map, volume placement, and maintenance first—then decide which version belongs in your life.

THE VISUAL QUESTION

Modern long pixie showing a clear crown, fringe, ear, and nape silhouette. Read the structure before the styling.

THE HAIRCHAPTER LENS

A category is useful only when it improves the next question.

The strongest haircut decision describes where the weight sits and what the shape must still do—not only what the trend is called.
01

Length is behavior.

Choose the dry landing point around the jaw, shoulders, or collarbone and ask what contact with clothing will make the ends do.

02

The edge sets the tone.

A solid, soft, broken, rounded, or angled perimeter can change the entire impression before a single layer is discussed.

03

Layers move weight.

Name where movement should begin and how much fullness must remain. “More layers” is not yet a useful cutting plan.

04

Grow-out is part of design.

The first detail to lose its shape determines the real salon calendar, even when the rest of the cut remains wearable.

CHOOSE YOUR ROUTE

Start with the decision already in front of you.

EDITOR'S STARTING POINT

One guide that changes how you read the rest.

This is not a choice between boring and interesting. It is a decision about whether the eye should read one strong edge, movement inside the shape, or a deliberate balance of both.
